When I said Recipe of the week, in the first post what I really meant is recipe of the week but maybe every other. My apologies on that folks we at TheTailg8.com strive for perfection. Speaking of perfection, this recipe is straight fire. I am sure it will impress the crowd and make you the talk of the town or atleast get a few people to acknowledge the small time it took you to prepare it.
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
What you will need:
1lb of ground beef or ground turkey
1 large block of Velveeta Cheese
1 block of cream cheese
2 cans of Original Rotel tomatoes (one dained, one not)
1 crock pot
1 sterno rack & heating sterno
Directions:
First, brown the ground meat. While the meat is browning begin cubing cream cheese and velveeta cheese. Combine the cheese, both cans of rotel and the bowned mean into a crock pot. Leave on high until completely melted (If you are tailgating/partying at a location that has outlets and/or extension cords, leave this gem of a dip in there on low once it is all melted). Before you walk out the door to head to the tailgate, put the dip in a metal sterno pan and cover with tinfoil. Once you get to your tailgate location set up the sterno racks and heaters under the dip to keep warm and cheesy.
Pro Tip: Best with soft pretzels, on top of your burger, or with the classic tortilla chips.
